Custom Single Screw Lines

Single Screw Plastic Extrusion Lines — Pipe, Hose, Profile & TPE Band

At Jinxin, every line is test-run producing your target product before shipment. For materials involving additives or modification — such as TPE — we require the customer’s actual resin, because screw plasticization and die tolerances must be matched to the specific compound.

You receive a documented startup parameter sheet covering zone temperatures, line speed, and vacuum settings — so an experienced operator can begin production on arrival without re-tooling the die or re-tuning the process from scratch.

  • In-House Tooling Verification
  • Die Matched to Your Product Before Shipment

How We Configure Your Line

We configure every line to match what you’re actually producing — not to a generic spec sheet. A garden hose line doesn’t need medical-grade precision, and we won’t build it that way. We size the screw, motor, die, and downstream equipment based on five inputs specific to your product:

Material

Pellet type, melt index, and any fillers or additives that affect screw design and heating zones

Product specifications

Dimensions, wall thickness, and tolerance targets

Voltage requirements

Local industrial power standards (3-phase, frequency, voltage)

Output targets

A realistic, stable production range based on material behavior, cooling capacity, and forming time — not just a theoretical maximum

Tooling needs

Custom die design and in-house mold manufacturing

What You Get with Every Jinxin Single Screw Extrusion Line

  • Die-Verified Production Run — We test-run the line producing your product type and record the actual operating parameters. You receive a startup sheet with zone temperatures, line speed, and vacuum settings — so your operator starts from a proven baseline, not a blank screen.

For overseas buyers, this step matters more than most realize: it’s far cheaper to catch a die mismatch in our factory than after the line lands in yours.
  • In-House Tooling Design — Custom molds manufactured and verified internally during FAT
  • Global Component Ecosystem — Siemens, ABB, Schneider, and selected Chinese brands with worldwide service networks

Frequently Asked Questions

A single screw extruder machine is a thermoplastic processing system that uses a single rotating screw inside a heated barrel to melt plastic pellets and push them through a shaped die — producing continuous pipe, hose, tube, or profile at stable output rates.

The complete line typically includes the extruder body, die head, vacuum calibration tank, cooling bath, haul-off unit, and cutting or coiling system. Single screw extruders are the standard choice for processing pre-compounded thermoplastic pellets — including PVC compound, PP, PE, PC, PMMA, TPE, and TPU.

No. Every single screw extrusion line is built to order.

For round pipes and hoses, we only need your dimensional data — inner diameter, outer diameter, and the wall thickness of each layer. (For multi-layer products like PVC braided hose or PPR fiber-reinforced pipe, each layer requires its own extruder and die, so we need the thickness for every layer.)

Custom profiles do require a drawing because of non-standard cross-sections — see our engineering workflow for how we handle tooling design and verification.

We also match motor power and screw design to your material and a realistic, stable output range — not a theoretical maximum.

Our single screw extrusion lines process pellet or granule thermoplastics including PVC (pellet compound), PP, PE, PC, PMMA, ABS, TPU, and TPE.

We do not process PVC dry blend/powder, which requires a twin-screw process.

A single screw extruder is just the main unit — barrel, screw, motor, and drive. But you cannot buy only the extruder and expect to produce anything. A working extrusion line requires the die, vacuum calibration, cooling, haul-off, and cutting or coiling to operate as a synchronized system.

Modern lines are designed so that each unit matches the others in speed and capacity — mixing components from different suppliers often causes instability. That’s why we quote and deliver complete lines, not standalone extruders.

As a general reference for complete line pricing (FOB China):

  • Basic / entry-level (standard temperature controllers, manual speed adjustment, wider tooling tolerances, single-language interface): USD $12,000 – $25,000
  • Mid-range / production-grade (PLC control, servo-driven haul-off, synchronized line speed, brand-name instruments like RKC or Omron, tighter die tolerances, multi-language HMI interface, die-verified before shipment): USD $30,000 – $60,000
  • High-end specialty (full servo synchronization, advanced process control software, medical-grade cleanroom tubing or large-diameter pipe 400mm+, highest precision tooling and controls): USD $60,000 – $200,000+

A note on pricing: On B2B platforms, listed prices are starting points for inquiry — not final transaction prices. Unlike retail e-commerce, you don’t pay the listed price and receive a finished product. The actual cost is determined after discussing your material, product spec, output target, and configuration requirements.

A listing showing $8,000 for an “extrusion line” will look very different once you specify what you actually need — and if the final price stays that low, the configuration will reflect it.

We provide a configuration-based quotation within 48 hours of receiving your product specs.

Every line ships with the following:

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation — run-test evidence and a documented startup parameter sheet (baseline speeds and temperatures) so your team starts from a proven setup instead of guessing

Practical wear parts kit — standard consumables based on actual replacement frequency, including cast aluminum heater bands, die heater bands, solid state relays (SSR), cooling fans, and K-type thermocouples. These are provided to support stable start-up and routine maintenance, not because of quality concerns

Core component warranty — 12 months for the complete machine (gearbox, screw, motor) and 18 months for the HMI touch screen, covering manufacturing defects under normal operation

Remote commissioning support — guidance to get the line running from our team. Optional on-site installation is available by arrangement

Standard manufacturing lead time is 45–60 working days. This covers fabrication, in-house tooling verification, and the full-load Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) run before dispatch.

If your raw material is pre-compounded pellets or granules — PVC compound, PP, PE, TPE, PC, PMMA — a single screw extruder is the standard, more cost-effective choice. Twin screw extruders are designed for powder blending, reactive compounding, or materials that require intensive mixing before extrusion.

If you’re unsure which system fits your process, send us your material data sheet and product specs — we’ll confirm whether single screw is the right fit before quoting.
