The standard configuration produces a 2-layer hose — inner PVC tube + outer PVC coating with yarn braiding in between.

A third extruder can be added for 3-layer construction where a thicker protective wall or higher burst pressure is needed.

It depends on your target hose spec. For reference, a typical washing machine inlet hose (ID 9.5mm / OD 15.4mm, polyester yarn braided) runs at 10–13 m/min on our line. Larger diameter and thicker wall hose runs slower.

Usually it’s a wall thickness distribution problem, not a braiding problem. Yarn braiding compresses the inner tube and adds its own thickness — if the die isn’t sized to compensate, the outer layer ends up too thin over the braid peaks.

Interlayer delamination on a PVC fiber hose extrusion line usually comes from one of four causes:

1. Inner tube formulation problem. Too much external lubricant or insufficient bonding additives in the PVC compound weakens adhesion to the outer layer.

2.Outer die is oversized. If the outer layer die gap is too large relative to the braided inner tube, the PVC melt doesn’t press firmly against the substrate.

3. Outer layer melt temperature too low. Cold melt doesn’t fuse properly with the inner tube surface, creating a weak interface that separates under pressure or flexing.

4. Air trapped between layers. If the space between inner tube and outer die isn’t evacuated, air pockets prevent full surface contact. We solve this by applying vacuum at the outer coating die to pull air out before the outer layer is applied.

Yes. Low-twist yarn can flatten under braiding tension, reducing its reinforcement effectiveness and weakening burst pressure. We recommend yarn specs based on your target hose pressure rating and braiding pitch to avoid this.
